Dhivakar Venkataraman is the author of thirteen Tamil books, including seven historic novels. All have remained bestsellers since their release. His first book - Vamsadhara (2004) has brought him many awards and accolades. His latest book 'Haridasan Enum Naam' has hit the market and is available at all major book stores across India.

Dhivakar has been writing hundreds of articles on various subjects and blogging in many websites. He has received awards from Tamil Heritage Foundation, and citations have been used in Hindustan Arts and Science College, Coimbatore, and Kovai Muththamizh Arangam. His works are being published as course work in Erode college, Tamil Nadu.

Novels

Vamsadhara

A historical fiction based on an unusual war between Kalinga and Chola kingdoms that happened in 1100 CE in the present Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh region in southern India. The war was acknowledged by two Tamil inscriptions found at Simhachalam Temple and walled inscriptions at Dhraksharama Temple in Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh

This novel is available in Tamil and Telugu, the Telugu version translated by Mrs. Sashikala Dhivakar










Thirumalai Thirudan

This translates into 'The thief of Thirumala,' one of the most famous Indian temples. This historic novel is regarding an incident in 11th century CE in Tirumala where the conch (Sankhu) and chakra (Disc) of the presiding diety, Sri Venkateswara Perumal, were stolen which later resulted in a religious rift between Shivites and Vaishnavites who both claimed that Venkateswara was a part of their sect. The story revolves around the incident, provides details into the rift and narrates how it gets resolved at the end!

Visithira Chithan

Visiththira Siththan - is another name of Mahendra Pallavas who was the Architect of Temples and sculptures history of Tamilnadu.
